The 2008 Louisiana Irish-Italian Association Grand Marshalls are:

At least one representative from your organization must be present on Tuesday March 4th at 7:30 pm at Beads by the Dozen in order to pickup your float assignments.  Remember each unit is required to purchase at least one case of cups (500) which cost $140.00 plus tax.  A representative from Game Day Apparel will be selling hats, shirts, and ladies merchandise.
 
Tuesday March 25th from 4:00 pm - till.
Come enjoy free Miller Beer, Corn Beef, Cabbage, and Muffeletta's at Stepbrother's Bar and Grill located just off the corner of W. Napoleon Ave and Transcontinental in Metairie.
 
Friday March 28th we will host our Dinner Dance at the Rose Garden in Harahan from 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm. The cost is $50 per person, which includes an Irish-Italian Buffet, Miller Beer, Wine, and entertainment provided by "The Wise Guys." You can obtain your parade Tuxedos for $50 at John's Tuxedos in Metairie. Let them know you want the Irish-Italian Special.
 
The 26th Annual Louisiana Irish-Italian Parade rolls at 12:00 noon on Sunday, March 30th, 2008 in Metairie. See our Parade page for the route.
 
The following ordinance applies to all boxes, including vegetable boxes:

Section 6-79. Attire and characterization.
(j) No participant, while participating in a parade on the parade route, in a parade assembly/staging area, or in a parade disbanding area, shall have boxes, including but not limited to corrugated boxes.

Welcome to the Official Web Site of the Louisiana Irish-Italian Association. On this site, you will find parade information as well as details regarding the events leading up to the parade, information about our Grand Marshalls, and the story of our great historical beginning that our founder Eddie Renton Sr. created back in 1983.

The primary purpose of this site is to deliver information about the parade, to increase awareness for the parade and the organization, to celebrate the heritage of both Irish and Italians, and overall, to contribute to the success and enjoyment that this great organization delivers annually to the people of our community.
